Hi! I was diagnosed with rosacea in the beginning of May and was

given metrocream. About a month into the treatment of using it

faithfully twice a day, I still had major facial burning and itching.

It stayed throughout the day. I called my derm to see if this was OK

and she said that it could take up to six months to work and to adjust

my dosage according to how my face feels. I tried once a day, once

every other day, everything imaginable but my face still flares and

burns everytime I put it on. Can some people just not tolerate the

metro? Should I continue trying it? I'm worried that the awful

burning feeling is permanently damaging my skin. Has anyone else had

a similar situation? On a good note, though, I just tried

Dermatologica's ultra calming cleanser and it didn't irritate my skin

at all. Whoever suggested it is my new favorite person. I spend so

much money trying new products and I'm hoping this was the last time.

I had a bad reaction to the metrolotion (waaaay too greasy for me) so my

derm switched me to metrogel and I haven't had a problem since.

I am now on my 2nd tube of MetroCream... I've had no negative side affects

from it, but I've not seen where it's done anything other than moisturize my

face either. :) I use it on my whole face, twice a day, morning and night.
