GI problem is the CAUSE for most people. cea is only a symptom.

Replying to your email gives me a chance to share the latest in my book. My

weight dropped to 74lbs a few months ago because I was afraid to eat -

everything I put in my mouth resulted in severe hives. Through networking, I

learned about the product line called Gardenoflife and started taking their

supplements in addition to Mark's directions (his diet and treatment approach

is great). The distributors for the new products are Primaldefence.com and

transformyourlife.com. Be prepared for a high price for getting better.

But...

best wishes

ok, i think saying GI problems are the cause of rosacea for most people is

WAY out of line.

i've never had a stomach problem in my life and i'm 45. if you were to take

the percentage of people, without rosacea, that have stomach problems and

compare it to the percentage of people, with rosacea, that have the same

stomach problems....it'd be my bet that it would be close to the same

percentage.

i'd venture to say that we could say the same thing about people that drive a

car, take mass transit, work in the food industry..... blah blah blah...

anyway, that's my opinion. syd

I have recently started taking acidipholus and I do believe that they have

helped me. I have had severe seborrheic dermatitis and nothing I tried

worked including steroids and other vitamin regimens such as B5 and fish

oils.

I started taking the acidophilus and my sebderm has improved dramatically

over the last month--I take about four pills a day, 2 in AM and 2 in PM. I

have acne rosacea as well and it is hard to determine if the acidipholis is

helping these symptoms but it has definitely worked for the sebderm (red,

oozing, flaking patches on forehead, eyebrows)

I have also had some severe GI problems as well over the past 8 years but

that has recently improved due to a drastic change in diet and perhaps the

acidipholus has helped also. For me diet, very limited dairy and very

limited alcohol has helped control the GI issues.

Bottom line, acidipholus is really cheap and easy to take and I have never

read of any negative side effects--give it a try.

My personal belief is that cea is a term used to describe people who

flush unexplainably to anything. This can be caused by a bunch of different

things. I'd bet that a small percentage of people with " cea " have it

because of Gastrointestinal problems. And that if those people treat the

Gastrointestinal illness, their cea will go away. The same thing could

probably be said about H Pylori or Demodex Mites. The vast majority of

people who suffer from cea however will probably not see their symptoms

disappear or decrease by treating some other condition. (With the possible

exception of allergies!)

But just because most people don't have any related problems, doesn't mean

that a few people won't benefit from these types of suggestions.

Anyway, just my opinion, but knowin' me I'm probably wrong! :)

You absolutely right in saying you and many others 'never had stomach

problems'

neither had I according to how i felt and a million of every possible test -

form blood to candida culture to thyroid - that traditional doctors did on

me in the course of years. Until a month ago I did a non-traditional test

revealing the severest stage of candida and other beauties.

I am not trying to convert or convince anybody. Just sharing what I have gone

through.

End of discussion on my part.

Best wiahes to everybody on this wonderful site.

Dear et al,

Beware the " non-traditional test " . I am skeptical when those outside the

medical community have answers that no one else has...particularly when they

contradict medical testing as you say these new tests do. It bespeaks outright

quackery at one

end of the spectrum and misbegotten beliefs at the other.

Many of the non-traditional claims are undocumented in any way that rational

folks could sign up for. It is not enough to have adherents and believers and

anecdotal " cures " . Claims must be able to stand the full light of scientific

scrutiny....and

unless you believe that the medical world is conspiratorial in a concerted way,

real " cures " , effective tests, or whatever do get attention.

I think it's a possibility I had stomach problems that I didn't realize

until later. It was when my rosacea was at it's worst my stomach seemed to be

bigger then normal bigger then it is now and I weigh 7 lbs more then I did

then. It's pretty flat right now. Anyways I took acidophilus to go with my

antibiotics and my stomach just totally flattened out within two weeks after

starting to take the acidophilus. I wonder sometimes if that didn't have

something to do with the rash on my forehead and my eye flaring.

I used to agree - up until my Mom developed very high blood pressure. After

a year and a half of " conventional " drugs and absolutely no results from them

- - I got Mom some emu oil capsules from the Purple Emu folks and TA-DA !!

after 4 weeks her pressure had dropped 40 to 50 points ?? The only thing she

was doing different was taking one emu oil capsule with her blood pressure

meds. I haven't seen any conventional testing on it but - - I'll take seeing

is believing.
