I am AMAZED at how many people CLAIm to be " nurses " that are not. I

am not saying this person is......I just wanted to WHINE.....lol

I really hate it when a " nurse " kills a patient( so called " mercy

Killing " )and they blame it on a " nurse " and its Not REally an nurse.

I am not saying others don't and do work as hard as Rn's/Lpns BUT I

am sure others in the profession know we get blamed for things non

nursing personel do< Working or not>

One time I went to a listing appointment(I am a nurse BUT work in the

family real estate business now.) This " nurse " (complete with beeper

on her belt when she answered the door) knew I was coming for an

entire week to " list " her house. She was obviously mentally ill. I

could not picture her working anywhere. She was in home health

care.....I seriously DOUBY she was REALLY a nurse. I wont tell you

about the state of her house. There has and never will be another

tour of a home like that. I thought I was in a scary movie.

I wished I would have taken pics for my husband though. In the future

when I am greeted at the door and my first impression is as bad as

that experience I am going to tell them right out.....Sorry no can

do....lol.

The person on Medicaid may indeed be working....ever heard of

the " working poor " . I am just imagining some poor soul with 3 kids

and a husband on disability (if she has one) Some positions are NOT

benifited.

Especially in this age of hiring part timers 2 or 3 instead of one

good paying job with benefits a person could raise their family on

decently. Also as many of you know .........if there is insurance

there may be a waiting period.

Also regarding the possible back injury or disability comorbidities

from morbid obesity ....this is a real possibility also. I say

anyone that is moving patients is going to have some injury to their

back . I have seen it so many times. There are some situations that

caregivers are put into(lack of help)(emergencies)(situations to

prevent injury)( and sometimes just things happen) and the poor back

gets the brunt of it.

I got in on the tail end of this story but had to put in my 2 cents

worth. Anyway if says it I agree anyway......lol

I never miss a post. .......I could listen to you all day.

EVERYTHING you say is interesting.

Claire.....You are the most sympathetic person I have ever met. I

feel like if I were down I could call you and you would always listen

and say the right thing. You must have /had a wonderful mother.

Speaking of wonderful mothers......To all you mothers out there

{{{{{{{Big Hugs}}}}}}}} and have a great Motthers Day weekend.

You're right...Claire is an absolute angel. I have had the honor of

speaking to her on the phone several times, and she does always say the

right thing! Claire, I couldn't love you more. Thank you for always being

there for me and for this group!

Blessings,

~Amy.
