Guest guest
The thought that comes to mind for me is this: If the bumps are the result of an undiagnosed allergy, the laser treatment may reduce the redness but can't cure the underlying cause. A few people have posted in the past six months or so about having laser treatment and then having other allergic manifestations -- breakouts on chest, arms, etc. Suzi __________________________________________________
Guest guest
I was looking over the archives, and I know that if a patient is in the middle of photoderm treatments, the ipl can cause papules/pustules to surface. I think it's using the shallower filters that cause this temporary phenomenom to occur. I have read about people who have had a full course of photoderm only to have pustules and papules still remain. I always wondered why that happened too. It could be regular acne brought on by changing hormones or use of topical products which plug the pores. I get it by using fabric softener on my clothing and bed sheets, and by using lotions with lanolin and mineral oil. It could also be a food intolerance as Suzi L. points out. Peanuts are the worst for me, though because of Dr. Sy's cleanser (the one that people are testing and not on the market yet), I can eat them once in a while. Maybe you should go to a derm to get it checked out. At least he/she could help with some treatment if you want to go that route. As a teen, i used to have many papules/pustules on my chest and back, so I can empathize with you. It's very uncomfortable. Take care, and I hope your papules clear up soon.
