Ellen,

I found some articles when I did a search on " Nutrasweet and

Pancreatitis " and there have been studies that make a correlation.

The Sunday before my last hospital admission started, I had drunk a

20oz Diet 7Up at church(which is more than I usually drink at one

time). Before the 2 hour service was over I was having very sharp

spasm type pain and by the end of that week I was in a full blown

attack. I really believe that the aspartame got it all going.

The only diet soda I have found without aspartame is the Diet Rite

types. Do you know of any others?

Did you know that aspartame also causes migraines?

Hi:

There is a lot of negative stuff out there about Aspartame.

A great deal of it has not been verified.

In fact, the FDA has refuted it.

The bottom line, for me, is that fact I have never had any problems

with it. I am so happy to have it available. It's made being a

diabetic more than tolerable.

I am now very interested in Splenda as it will hold up to heat.

And I will be doing a great deal of reseach about it.
