Guest guest
Hello, Very happy to say that my almost 4 yr old son has been on SCD for almost three months and wow,the hard work is showing its rewards.I notice that when he has to pass some gas or have a bowel movement(still in diaper)he initially presses his lower abdomin against something whethet it be our hand or furniture. We have just been doing the diet and have not given him yoghurt directly or given any supplements etc.His bowel movemnets have improved from every other day to 95% everyday, more than not he always seems to have a fiew hard formed stools mixed in with the normal stool. The other day the hard small stools where green in colour-that would mean die off? Is there something I should be doing to eleviate discomfort when he is passing gas or having a bowel movement? Thanks to all, this diet has done wonders ,Toni Matteo 33/4 scd almost 3mnths
Guest guest
I would really consider adding yogurt or probiotics to replenish his gut with good bacteria at this point. Jody mom to -7 and -9 SCD 1/

Guest guest
What does he like? That will help give me ideas of ways to get the yogurt in. Jody mom to -7 and -9 SCD 1/

Guest guest
Toni, Cooking the yogurt destroys the beneficial bacteria. What about frosting? Does he like frosting on his muffins? The frosting is a good place to hide the yogurt. And about a book... other people have suggested it as well, but I don't have any free time to write one...LOL. Guest guest
> > Jody, Matteo loves raw seeded and peeles apples, watermelon and bananas-I tried dipping an apple slice once and the liitle guy noticed and avoided it like the plague. He eats muffins and pancakes made with the yoghurt.Does cooking with the yoghurt have any affect? Thanks Jody-Have you ever considered writing a book for all the parents out there? Toni > ----- Original Message ----- Toni, You can fold the yogurt into fruit purees, make smoothies, and even hide it in lukewarm mashed veggies. Heat kills the good bacteria, freezing leaves some.
