Guest guest
I am using zeolite now (aim is to reduce heavy metal burden in the body). Planning to add ala in a month's time. From what I read and understood, zeolite traps the metals pulled out by dmsa/ala (reducing risk of redistribution), suppose to help in the chelation process. However, there are people that argue that zeolite is not a chelator and thus not helpful, you make the call. Guest guest
Yes the difference is many people on this list like to use chelators that have been proven, rather than products that make all sorts of claims but have no evidence whatsoever to back them up. No one who has used zeolite only has ever achieved anything of significance, so even by word of mouth standards its a real long shot. It may even slow chelation down. The point is, we DONT KNOW. Then there is also considerations such as the fact the main " science guy " behind NCD zeolite, was caught out for plagiarism. Why does someone need to lie about their product if its so great? There is one mother in particular in zeolite circles who makes massive claims about it. However she just happened to follow chelation using ALA via Andy's protocol, but she is often quiet about this part. She also makes all sorts of pronouncements about other chelators and general detox that are completely wrong and some would even go so far as to say..... stupid. I know plenty of parents who were the first to use it when it came out years ago. What did it do for their kids? Nothing of any major significance. But she loves telling everyone she has recovered her kids and sucks a lot of others in this way as if she has somehow reinvented the wheel, as if she has taken some of Andy's recommendations, claimed them as her own and then improved on it all with her brilliance, with a magical solution that somehow Andy Cutler could not see himself. So if you're that way inclined, I've got some magic fairy dust that increases heavy metal excretion rates by 5 billion percent. Just send me your CA$H. Guest guest
as far as I know, zeolite is not a chelator. I think it best to stick with the AC protocol. It's easy to get sidetracked. Guest guest
Maybe zeolite is not a 'chelator' by defination... however, I must share that from my own personal experience of using it for 2 months on my son, I see an improvement to his understanding and language. I have not started AC protocol. On Sun, Feb 22, 2009 at 12:55 AM, TJ Werth <tj_werth@...> wrote: > as far as I know, zeolite is not a chelator. Guest guest
We chelate every weekend, 3 on and 4 off. I think it best to keep the dose the same during the whole round. I wanted to pose a question to the experienced AC protocol parents~ I just started the AC protocol this weekend with my non-verbal, heavy metal toxic 13 year old w/ Autism and it's going AWESOME!! I am amazed at how quickly this is working, he's less aggressive, using more language and his skin is clearing up!!! I have Andy's book and have been pour overing it and wanted to ask, is it ok to chelate every weekend OR is it better to chelate every OTHER weekend? and I was thinking of cutting the dose back from 25 mg to 12.5 as we get closer to Monday as he'll be back in school? Any thoughts on this would be SO appreciated~ thanks, Stacee ____________ _________ _________ __ From: TJ Werth <tj_werth (DOT) com> Sent: Tuesday, February 17, 2009 2:32:00 PM Subject: Re: [ ] DMSA Question Here is what is stated by Thorne Research for the taking if 100mg capsules: A patient with chronic heavy metal toxicity may experience a worsening of symptoms at the onset of supplementation. Guest guest
Jan, I saw your response about going every other weekend with DMSA because of lead. Why is this? I'm going to be starting my son in the next month or so and he has elevated lead but no mercury showing up (yet, I presume). I thought it would be fine to do every weekend DMSA alone for the first 8 weeks then add in ALA. Please advise. Thanks! Guest guest
As was explained to me way back in the day when I got here....doing every week for the first few months lowers body burden of lead. After which bone storage will begin to release. Skipping weeks allows that to happen. So we did rounds every week for six months, then went to every other week. The body will dump lead stores in relation to lowered body burden, so you do a round, then wait a week for stores to release some, then do another round to remove that. My son was very high in Lead and a lot of other metals. He had no hair mercury at all, but is toxic in that as well. We had deranged minerals appear later on. What you plan is fine. You can do the dmsa only for 8 weeks, then add ala and keep going. We chose to use that method based upon my research of getting out lead from the bones and upon what I had learned here on this group a long time ago. I wish I could recall the documentation for it now....but I can't. > > > > > > > > From: Stacee <staceedsbcglobal (DOT) net> > > > > Subject: Re: [ ] DMSA Question > > > > > > > > Date: Tuesday, February 17, 2009, 4:49 PM > > > > > > > > Hi , > > > > how do you give the DMSA?
