Guest guest
My child has had numerous illegals within the first 6 months of this diet and I couldn't kill those yeast bugs using scd because of it. There are other reason why I want to contine with her on this diet but, I do need some help with her in this area because she is way too hyper and stimmy and is never calm enough at school to learn. She sometimes rides things also. Has anyone here ever tried the Candidase enzyme for their yeast while also being on the diet? I'm hoping this is legal and recommendations for amt.'s are also welcome as she has a severe case of it getting sore down there and a white toungue 2x's a week. The yogurt helps a little I think. I know how much it says to give on the bottle, but we do not want too severe of die-off symptoms all at once. Thanks for any help you may be able to give. Jenn & kali > 7months scd Here is their website http://www.enzymedica.com/candidase.php I don't really know what maximum dose you should use for her weight and age. You could try asking your doctor, pharmacist or try the enzyme yahoo group. To start you could try starting with 1/2 a capule before bed or 2hours after eating. Depending on her symptoms increase the amounts accordingly. Namely, if her die off is not to bad then go with a full capule the next day or stay a day at 1/2 capsule and then do a full cap. If she has too much die off either go with less than 1/2 a capsule or skip a day or two in between. Guest guest
We use candiase and have had wonderful success. We started with 1/2 a capsule 1 time per day, then 1/2 at every meal, then 1 full capsule at every meal. Right now we are doing a yeast protocol (the great and low method), with Digest gold (1 cap), virastop (1 cap) and candidase (1 cap) at each meal. He has done wonderful with this round. After 3-4 weeks on this we will continue candidase every night for maintanence. He is 2 3/4 year old and 37 pounds. Hope this helps! andrea mother of Caden 2 3/4 years old SCD since 2/05 and Emmalynn 13 months > > Thanks Sheila. How much should I give my 5 yr.old dughter with Autism? She > weighs 50 lbs. Thanks. Guest guest
, You use 1 capsule of candidase WITH each meal? I thought it is supposed to be at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after meal? I'm having a lot od difficulty trying to sneak the candidase on empty stomach. Would really help if I could give it during meals. > > > > Thanks Sheila. Guest guest
Hi and , Their website says: " Suggested Use: Take Candidase™ for moderate symptoms of yeast overgrowth take 2 capsules, 3 times a day at least ½ hour before or 2 hours after a meal for 7 days (for maintenance 2 a day). " http://www.enzymedica.com/candidase.php , it would be more effective if you take it half hour before meals. Guest guest
I ususally give it in juice/water about 20-30 minutes before he eats the give he probiotic or yogurt at the end of the meal. I think if you are going to puely use candidase, taking 2 capsules 3X/day is fine. We only use one at each meal because he also takes digest gold and virastop. Candidase has Protease 200,000HUT and cellulase 60,000CU Digest gold has protease 80,000HUT and cellulase 3000CU Virastop has protease 150,000HUT and cellulase none So my sone is getting protease 430,000HUT and cellulase 63,000CU at each meal. If you took 2 canddiase you would have protease 400,000HUT and Cellulase 120,000CU So if you take 2 candiase you get more cellulase to take off the outer coating but less protease to mop up the insides of the yeast and toxins. I don't think there is an exact science to enzymes. It is just trial and error. > > Hi and , > > Their website says: > " Suggested Use: Take Candidase™ for moderate symptoms of yeast > overgrowth take 2 capsules, 3 times a day at least ½ hour before or > 2 hours after a meal for 7 days (for maintenance 2 a day). Guest guest
Where does everyone get candex and candidase? What are their web sites? Thanks in advance. carebearandrea@...> wrote: I ususally give it in juice/water about 20-30 minutes before he eats the give he probiotic or yogurt at the end of the meal. Guest guest
I wouldn't recommend doing enzymes until one has been gluten and casein free at least for at least a year because if there are still opiod problems, the enzymes can make this problem significantly worse. Go to Dr. Bradstreet's work @ the icdrc or good news doctor foundation. He discusses in his Autism work there that enzymes can cause this opioid problem to get worse. Be careful guys!
