If the Vermox is toxic to K, can I give her the activated charcoal to help

mop up the mess? Jenn & Kali 7 months scd

vermox intolerance?

> Jody,

> I was reading about all the different kinds of worms a person can get

from playing outside in the dirt etc. and decided to give K the Vermox. I

know it took me a week to try it for her but, I wasn't feeling good about it

and after her first dose she was ok for about 6 hours and now she cannot

hold anything down. I do not want her to have worms but, I fear this med. is

too toxic for her. she just isn't tolerating it. She was throwing up all

night with no other symptoms. I'm sure it could be a coincidence but, she

does not do well with most meds. antibiotics etc. Does it sound like a

reaction or intolerance to you? I am so afraid to make her worse. I found

out that pumpkin seeds(not scd legal?), black walnut extract, garlic and GSE

works well for killing those worms off. I may think about doing it a more

natural way with foods, supplements like this. I just don't want the worms

to get out of hand. What would you all do? Thanks, Jenn & Kali 7 months scd

Jenn,

I would call the doctor's office and ask about the reaction to the

medication. I can't give medical advice. I would find out if this is

a common side effect that goes away in a day or so or if this is

something to really be concerned with.

As for the natural methods, I don't honestly know how effective they

are. I know that GSE can be very hard on the system. My husband took

it and he said that he did not feel well, but he did not actually

throw up. According to some sources, GSE kills both good and bad

bacteria, yeast too. So, you will have to make sure and get the good

bacteria back into her if you use the GSE. I'll also tell you that

even 1-2 drops of in an entire glass of water can be very powerful in

taste. So, be aware of that. I also think to be effective the garlic

has to be taken fresh and raw. I'm not sure how you get that into her

either.

Did you look up " Vermox side effects " on google? If not, that's

probably the first thing I would do.

I wish I had the magic answer to this situation. Unfortunately, I

don't. The only thing I can say is that if I knew my kids had the

worms, I'd have to find a way to get rid of them. I know that's where

you are right now- just trying to figure out a way to do it.

Thanks Jody. Yes. I will be looking some stuff up today. Kali will eat

Garlic steak with her dad maybe 3 nights a week. I would only give her 1

drop and I know how inportant to put more beneficial bacteria in while we're

dumping all the bad. Thanks for understanding. I will be searching for some

answers for these pinworms. Greatful to be here! I couldn't imagine what

problems we would have been having with her if we never did scd. :) Jenn &

Hi, Jenn,

When I gave my son his first dose of combantrin for the pinworms he

threw up the next day and had diarhea also. This is a side affect of

that de-wormer and when I gave the follow-up dose 2 weeks later, he

had no reaction whatsoever.

I would not hesitate to use it again, if necessary, at a later date.

Hang in there!
