Guest guest
Hi everyone, Sigh! I sit here today. i have had 4 photoderm treatments. Each one going slighter deeper. My last one (the 4th) was 4 days ago. i am dying here. The burning is coming back. i have not had burning since my first treatment. I though that burning feeling was long gone. It is back with a vengence. I know that some of you regressed after 4, but continued your treatments, some of you went back to lesser settings, and now are ok. Even knowing that I may have some regression after 4, I am exremely down. My doctor said that he has only done at the most 6 treatments for one of his patients. I told him that those if you that have had full clearance came after 12 treatments. He said he would continue to do my treatments as long as we are seeing results. That tells me he may want to stop now that this treatment proved to set me back. Or at least appear to set me back. UGHHH! I have spent 1,250 dollars on my treatments so far, a an enormous amount on products. Can any of you that have had this setback please give me some words. I am wondering if I will need a new photoderm doc, one that understands why I am having a regression on symptoms, and what we can do next. I am so discouraged because I thought photoderm was my open door to getting my life back. Thanks for your much needed feedback. Guest guest
I know how you feel. It's been almost 4 weeks since my 4th treatment. After all the others I was getting a little better each time, but this time I seem to be flushing more and I'm definitely more red than I was after the 3rd treatment. I don't get it. I have an RN doing my treatments, and I honestly think that I know more about it now than she does, so I can't go to her for answers. She has told me to wait at least 24 hours after a treatment before doing things that make your face flush, and I've been working out 24 hours after the treatments. Now I read that some doctors are saying you should wait 2 weeks. If I have sabatoged $2,400 worth of treatments because of her ignorance, I'll scream. I don't have the time or money to take them to court. Your idea of finding a different doctor that understands regression is a good one. I think that's what I'm going to do. > Hi everyone, > Sigh! Guest guest
Hi --I think the exercise factor is probably different for everyone. Dr. Bitter's office also advises against exertion for 24 hours following treatments. I learned on my own that I achieved the best results if I did no aerobic exercise for a week and no heavy aerobic exercise for 2 weeks. Just like anything else, it's probably a matter of what your individual triggers are and you have to figure out what seems to exacerbate your individual condition. >She has told me to wait > at least 24 hours after a treatment before doing things that make > your face flush, and I've been working out 24 hours after the > treatments.
