Guest guest
The doctor that authors the Health Alert newsletter also believes/endorses the blood type diet. I thought it sounded kind of strange but it may work. This doctor also will do a personal recommendation if you fill out a health questionnaire--basically giving you a plan to follow to see if there are food sensitivities causing your problems, etc. My plan was really very good but I can't embark on it right now as I am nursing and have to eat a variety of foods and watch the supplements I take. My personal evaluation came to I believe around $35. He recommended that I do the blood type diet too as part of my plan. If anyone here has tried it, does it work? --- Suzi LeBaron suzi_lebaron@...> wrote: > You knew I'd been good for one wild post > tonight! > > The naturopath gave me a handout about eating > according to your blood type (A, O, AB, B...). > He > really thinks there's something to it. > > Admittedly, I'm a little skeptical. Guest guest
When you go to the book store, even if you are not going to get the book, they have small cards that you can get to put in your wallet that have a listing of all the food you should and shouldn't eat. It makes it easier to just look at the card when you are eating out to help you make good choices. Take Care, RS

I have a book at home (so I don't have the author's name; I'm in my office right now) called Eating Right for Your Blood Type that is my bible for food. It make sense if you think about it; blood type implies specific chemical characteristics, and our food intake directly impacts this. I especially like this concept because it corrosponds with the foods my body craves, so I don't feel guilty when I don't cover all the traditionally recommended food groups. As ususal, you are attacking the problem, not just the symptoms.
Guest guest
He didn't know I was nursing. I had planned to stop a couple of months ago, therefore I didn't put it in the health questionnaire. As soon as I stop nursing, I am going to try the plan to see if it works for me. --- Suzi LeBaron suzi_lebaron@...> wrote: > Yep. Guest guest
, I don't think there is anyone on this list who doesn't want to attack the root cause of rosacea, and, thereby, get rid of it once and for all. We may have different opinions on what causes it, and which treatment we wish to pursue and what works with our individual systems. Dr. Nase wrote a book about his theories of causes and the treatments a person should pursue to decrease flares and the appearance of redness and papules. He still cannot postulate a universal theory (or theories) of what causes this awful disease. We can debate those theories amongst ourselves. However, I don't think that you will find anyone on this list to debate that they do not want to get to the root cause of this disease. Guest guest
I agree, but I also think people are really analyzing, over-analyzing and re-analyzing the same things over and over. There are so many emails being shot out here on a daily basis with the same people saying the same things over and over and over. How should we exercise, how should we not exercise, should we even exercise, what should we eat, what should we not eat, should we drink alcohol, should we not? I just want to live my life as fully as I can. If I want something sweet, I'm going to eat something sweet. If I want to have some wine, I'm going to have some wine. If I want to be out in the boat getting sun, I'm going to. I'm not going to let rosacea take me away from things I enjoy, and I'm surely not going to let it rule my life. I could spend weeks, months, years cutting out this food or that to no avail (as I've tried to do in the past.) I was miserable. At times I have a horribly red and broken out face. Am I going to hide inside and let it win? NO. Unfortunately, I have it and I am learning to live with it. - Re: blood type > , > > I don't think there is anyone on this list who doesn't want to attack > the root cause of rosacea, and, thereby, get rid of it once and for > all. > > We may have different opinions on what causes it, and which treatment > we wish to pursue and what works with our individual systems. Guest guest
I have a subscription of their newsletter and it was advertised that they would do this personal evaluation for I believe around $35. Call your doctor's office and see if your blood type is listed somewhere in your charts. If not, you can ask the dr. next time you go in if you can have blood drawn to determine your type. --- Worldandi7@... wrote: > www.healthalert.com, but they did not reply to > my email and there is no > indication they perform any type of analysis. > > SO HOW di did you find out about your blood > type - if pregnancy is the only > way, i am done with children > allison __________________________________________________
