Dear Amy, I was in the hospital for 10 days when I was 3 and the only thing I

remember was the nice woman whose child was across the hall coming in and

playing

with me. Only happy memories. Be sure to tell him exactly what is going to

happen even if you think he doesn't understand, prepare him. Not knowing is the
