Hey Larry. If you would be so kind as to send me your story, I would be

happy to make you famous....lol.....I will make a page for you on the

top5plus5 webpage that has your story on it. That goes for anyone else.

Remember all, I work with Karyn on these things, WE try to work together

and I try to keep the top5plus5 pancreatitis library updated. Sometimes

that is hard to do. but I just wanted everyone to know that I don't compete

with Karyn for stories.....We share all that we have to help everyone that

we can. If i can ever do anything to help you Larry, please let me know

I hope this finds you and yours well

Dear Larry,

I wanted to welcome you to our support group and tell you that

though the information can sometimes seem overwhelming,

you'll find people here with a lot of experience with this disease

and also members with pancreatic problems that are still

searching for answers. It is by sharing our experience, and our

inexperience, that we are able to learn from each other. Thank

you for sharing your story with us.

Discrimination in the work place due to personal medical

conditions is a very serious offense. I do hope you plan to

consider the advice of some of the earlier responses and hire

yourself a good attorney to represent you, and continue to keep

meticulous documentation of all management decisions and

discussions, both privately and publicly, in regard to your employ.

Should you move to another department, I would suggest you

continue to keep these records. Whatever happens, I do hope

you will not have to work in such a toxic environment any longer

than necessary.

Please continue to post and ask any questions you may have

that you think one or more of us might have some experience

with, or feel free to comment on the questions of others. We are

here to help each other however we can in our struggles with

chronic pancreatitis and it's many related medical problems. If

there is anything I can help you with, please feel free to email me

personally at any time, and I will do my best to follow up.

With hope and prayers,

Dear Larry,

In addition to the Gemfibrozil why don't you try

fasting for 3 days a month. 3 days consecutively that

is. That means no food whatsoever, Maybe a little

grapefruit juice if you can tolerate it. Fasting will

clean out your system and give your panc and other

organs a rest. Many of us here fast involentarily

sometimes because of the pain associated with eating.

And find some stuff to raise your metabolism. My

mother gave me a bottle of Metabolife evening formula

and I stated feeling better overall within a couple of

days. I'm headed up to the mall to see if GNC has the

stuff at a better price than the grocery store. I

think if you do this it will help you lose the weight

you need to and give you a little more energy. If I

find some other good stuff to raise your metabolism,

I'll let you know.

Take good care my friend. I have a high triglyceride

to; and unfortunately your doctor isn't kidding, If

you don't get your triglycerides down, your inviting

acute panc attacks that will eventually kill you.

Your Friend,

Mark

Hi Mark,

What is this Metabolife evening formula? What does it consist of and what is

added to it?

THanks,

Jerry/NC
