Guest guest
, I just had a consult with Dr. Lehman last week. He was sooo busy that day and I had a 3 hour wait but it was worth it. The next day he left for Maylasia to teach them the ERCP technique. We discussed a possible ERCP for me but I still have the choice and am not in the situation where it has to be done, at least not yet. But the odds are that I will eventually have to have it done.f my meds weren'y helping me I would of been on the table a long time ago. How did you tolerate the ERCP ? Did you get the pancreatitis ? he told me that if you get pancreattis from an ERCP then your chances of getting pancreatitis again are very close to zero, providing you did not have pancreatitis ever BEFORE the procedure. he was doing the Interlueken-10 study as well. That is where they give you the IL-10 dye before the test and it is suppose to decrease the chance of pancreatitis. The results so far look promising. Did they give you the IL10 ? Also they did have the little pill camera capsule study going on for SOD pateints but it was put on hold. I did not get a chance to ask him why it was put on hold. That is pretty cool, to be able to swallow a pill with a camera in it. You need to stop your meds 20 hours before taking the pill. I don't think that I would be able to do that, I would be in pain big time. I am glad that you are not having anymore chest pain after your ERCP. I do get allot of chest symptoms as well. I stumped him when I told him that I get allot of my spasms in the middle of the night and that they wake me up. That seems atypical to him. How long did it take you to recuperate and start feeling better ? Guest guest
Lily, I did ok with the ERCP, but my enzymes went very high afterwards for two or three days. I'm not sure about the Il10. He didn't mention it, but that could be because he knew what was causing my problem, the pancreas divisum. I hope that the pain will go away, but so far it hasn't completely. I haven't given up hope though!! The SOD was a surprise though, I was told in Aug. of 2001 that I didn't have it by my GI. So I didn't know they were going ot fix that too. I hope that whatever they decide to do they will find you some releif soon {{{HUGZ}}} __________________________________________________

Guest guest
Thanks. I hope that you feel better soon as well.
