I was wondering if those that had various laser procedures for their

rosacea found that these treatments were or were not covered by their

medical insurance. I realize everyone has different insurance

vendors but I just wanted to get an idea/percentage of those that

covered laser procedures and those that did not. Thanks for your

help and feedback.

Not covered by my Blue Cross/Blue Shield. And it wasn't even approved for

my Flex account (a fixed monthly amount you request the company to take out

of your paycheck each month to be used to supplement monies the insurance

didn't cover, or medical things the insurance won't cover - such as

eyeglasses).

I had 6 photofacials at a cost of 2000. My insurance,

Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO paid for 900. At first

when I called to ask if it was covered, I was told no

(by three different agents). When I sent in my claim

anyway, I included before and after photos of myself

(I had had two treatments at the time) and numerous

articles on the effectiveness of the treatment. I was

suprised that they approved my claim, just goes to

show that you shouldn't give up trying too easily!

Good luck! Perserverance pays off! Kelley
