Seb Derm - help or coincidence?

Like most people, I have tried things which seem to work, but then

realised any subsequent relief tended to be just coincidence. The

condition always returned. So I'm very wary about stating anything

helps seb derm, as I'm never sure.

However for the past month I have had amazing relief from my seb

derm, my skin has never been just as clear, particularly in the

winter. My skin is always far worse come the cold weather, so I'm so

surprised at how good it is.

Now I've been taking certain additives to my diet, and I have to

stress, I didn't take them to see the effect on seb derm. That wasn't

my intention.

So for the past 2 months I've been eating fresh nuts ( from the

health shop) nearly everyday - Brazils, cashews etc, and also

sunflower seeds everyday as well. I've also been taking a helping of

live yogurt daily. Yogurt of course is very helpful to our digestive

system, and an awful lot of problems including skin, originate from

this system.

Now I am very aware that my skin being so good and this addition to

my diet, could be a classic case of coincidence. However I feel this

is worth mentioning. I can't remember the last Christmas I had such

good skin.

I'm very sceptical about the effects of diet, on things like seb

derm normally. I've eaten rubbish in the past and have had great skin!

I notice an awful lot of people who post here talk about this skin

lotion and that skin lotion - I use NOTHING on my skin, I wash with

water only. Experience has taught me that all these magical potions

just end up causing a flare up. Yes I sometimes use cortisone (

sparingly) but that's it. I think all these

conditioners/potions/creams are just a big moneyspinner, and cannot

help your seb derm. I must add I do not have rosacea.

So I just wanted to mention about this. I will continue to take the

nuts and yogurt daily and see what happens- Who knows ?

Good luck everyone
