Guest guest
Hi Guys,I have yet to see a DAN dcoter, hopefully it will happen this spring or late winter.I already know this docters protocal and want to be ready with the right questions when I see her.I am currently jsut doing the diet for my son no vitamins supplements enzymes etc. I know she may prescribe nysastin-does anyone have a opinion on this-isn't the diet supposed to take care of that.Would appreciate any thoughts ,advice on this matter. Happy New year!!! Toni son 33/4yrs old SCD for three months (by the way we have seen positive results from the diet)

If the doc prescribes Nystatin ask for a sugar free prescription or get it compounded. Nystatin prescriptions often are loaded with sugar (which I find ironic). For some the diet alone takes care of yeast, for others they have to do more, which may include reducing honey, natural antifungals, enzymes meds - it depends on the nature/extent of the yeast overgrowth. There is a write up on " SCD and Yeast " in the file section. see http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/pecanbread/files/ Sheila
