Guest guest
Jody, Well, yes, sort of. I didn't try to peel it because that looked impossible. I just cut it in half and tried to scrape out the meat. The recipe does not say to cook it first. I've pasted the recipe below, as written in the post. It doesn't say anything about precooking any of the ingredients. 1 large acorn squash, peeled and grated 1 medium Gala apple, peeled and grated 1 small onion, chopped into small pieces 2 eggs Salt /pepper oil for frying Mix all ingredients very well. Heat oil in frying pan over a medium flame. Place a spoonfull of mixture in hot oil. Fry until golden on both sides. The main question, though, was how to keep them from falling apart during cooking (when you turn them). But thanks for the cooking tip. Thanks, Diane _____ From: pecanbread [mailto:pecanbread ] On Behalf Of Jody G. I cut it in half and tried to scrape out the 'meat.' It took a long time and I wasted a lot. I am a bit confused. Why were you trying to peel it before you cooked it? _____
