Guest guest
The thing is Brett, she did almost die about 10 years ago. She had ulcers so bad in her stomach that it ate thru her stomach, part of her pancreas and ate away the flap in her stomach that keeps the food in. My dad carried her to the ER and they said if he had brought her in just a couple hours later, she'd be dead. They said her stomach acids were on the verge of poisoning her system. You would think that would make her serious about this. Maybe because all this info is coming from me and not her doctor, she is not taking it as serious as she should. Who knows... We are still waiting for her upper GI results from her test on Monday. Thanks for the shoulder. Lanie Re: Question regarding Alcohol Hi Lanie There will come a time...almost like a " window of opportunity " when she gets really sick(and she will) that she will make the decision about living or dying ...she may well be like me and need to have " it " all on the line before she responds...acting like you don't care if you die is no where near as frighting as having it really about to happen. Some people need this happen before they can progress. Some call it hitting rock bottom!!! but its more like being hit by a freight train because your standing to close to the edge of the platform..you Know its dangerous but your still surprised when it happens. Great description ..really sucky attitude...sums it up perfectly. You don't need the stress or distress that goes with it..look after yourself Brett > > Hello all, > > As I shared before, my mom has been quite ill for a few years and > was diagnosed with Chronic Pancreatitis.
