Hi all,

I was one that stated an opinion but I in no way wanted Torsten to get any

flack, I hope everyone can put all feelings aside and move on, I think

yesterday was a tough day. I know I still got choked up reviewing the

history of that day. I can't imagine what it must of been like for those

actually at the site. Yes I think we all know this is a cf site but even

our cf kids were affected in some way but that day. In my hometown in Maine

some kids from 6th grade went to the highest mountain and held the American

flag up when the sun rose and then got on a plane and went to PA to the

crash site then got on another plane and went to California to be there when

the sun set. I thought that was kind of neat.

Well sorry to all for being part of the stir up. I hope everyone had a good

day today. We had heavy winds yesterday and lost power for 8 hours and

still have no telephone I am glad atleast I have a cable modem....

I can't really believe we would even have this type of discussion. Every person

on this discussion board has the right to his/her own opinion, even if it is not

a popular one. It is hard for us Americans to be objective about anything

pertaining to the events of 9/11. I do not happen to agree with Torsten, but I

don't feel his comments about our president should warrant any such action.

Hi

I'm a lurker with a 13month wcf, I truly appreciate the opportunity

to read the posts on this message board. I find the learning never

ends and I value everyone's experiences with treatment, coping and

support. Some ideas I agree with and some I don't. But I have been

irked to say my 2 cents; We are all parents of sick and not so sick

children and it breaks our hearts to see our children suffer. It

breaks my heart to see the parentless children from 9/11 but it

intrigues me as to why no one ever mentions the children who die

daily and the parents of these children who die daily because of the

foreign policies the superpowers of this world enforce. We need to

widen our scope of suffering children to include those of all races,

religion and disease.

Every person on this discussion board has the right to his/her own

opinion, even if it is not a popular one. It is hard for us

Americans to be objective about anything pertaining to the events of

9/11. I do not happen to agree with Torsten, but I don't feel his

comments about our president should warrant any such action.

Hi ,

wow, that really was a nice and open minded comment. Thanks! And it

is finally leading this thread back to our main common concern. The

big difference between the victims of New York and those starving

kids all over the world is, that their fate isn't shown on all TV

channels. The media have such a power and influence on people's

opinions, that it is crucial to raise awareness, if we want to raise

funds for CF (and for every other human purpose too).

I am quite frustrated right now after I saw how easily many BILLIONS

of $ were raised for the victims of the german flooding. Of course it

was a catastrophy and of course some people sadly drowned in the

floods. But then pwcf are drowning too, it's just an invisible and

slowly drowning that wouldn't attract people to the TV-boxes.

Thanks again for your thoughtful words (and thanks to all

other " voters " too) and let's keep up the effort to make people aware

about CF.

Peace

Torsten, dad of Fiona 5wcf
