Wanda, I never had any reaction. V-beam is not supposed to leave you with

any aftermath telltale signs. Everyone is different. Perhaps the setting

were too high for your skin. Did the doctor do a test spot with the machine

several weeks prior to the treatment? Mine did one 6 weeks before I could

start treatment.

It is 4:30 in the morning here and I,m sitting here crying. My face

is so bad now my right eye is closing, I thought it would be better

this morning but it is not. I,m going to have to call the doctor.

You should call the doctor, this doesn't seem right. You should be able to

get something to bring the swelling down. Please let up know how you are

doing.

Hi Wanda:

I too had vbeam on my face last week Tuesday actually. I had the exact same

thing as you describe. Day one right after the procedure I looked great... I

looked better then I do during a flare. I iced my face all day as

instructed. By evening my face began to swell and looked a bit rippled and

lumpy in texture. I iced all night long switching occasionally from one

cheek to the other only to wake up to what look liked a very swollen, bad

sunburned looking face. I called the Dr who performed vbeam and they said

this is very normal. The suggested I use a .5 hydrocortisone cream and take

a benedryl. Well the benedryl did the trick as would have any allergy med.

What a difference though. Benedryl took down the swelling a few hours later

and got things under control. By the next day the swelling was mostly gone

and the major redness. I only had residual redness and look better everyday.

Tomorrow will be one week and I dont have any swelling. I am noticing less

redness everyday. Funny though how hot my ears felt since then.

Anyway, just wanted you to know your not alone.

Write me if you want to compare notes. :)
