Guest guest
Hello Jen, A few suggestions for you. I don't know what else you are doing. Hope this is helpful. One important suggestion is that your daughter doesn't sleep horizontal. Have her propped up with 2 or 3 pillows. This way the sinus passages can drain instead of being stagnant and causing bacteria to multiply. Do you use zippered anti-allergenic pillow covers and mattress covers? They are very inexpensive. Worldhealthmall.com has a molecular silver that you can mix with water and use as a nasal mist, the same as you would use a nasal saline mist. Also, putting Worldhealthmall.com ionic calcium in the vaporizer will also help. If you are interested, go on the website, get the phone number, ask for Jim, and ask him about the measurements and how it works. Is she old enough to do nasal douches? if you don't know what this is and are interested, let me know. It does wonders. I have suffered in the past with serious sinus infections. I eventually found out that I have a severe allergy to mold (rainy season.) Also, any other allergans will cause the mucous to form and then the bacteria starts to grow and BAM! Instant ugly sinus infection. The key is to help the body deal with the allergans. I agree with Marilyn, if your daughter can do the quercitin or something else that helps her body with the allergans on a regular basis, that will prevent it from happening at all. Also, an Ionic Breeze purifier or another good quality purifier would be a good idea. Again, this is info is coming from somebody who would have to go to the emergency room because of the severity of the sinus infections. On very bad allergenic days, I take Claritin reditabs (no swallowing, melts in seconds on the tongue.) I don't take meds easily. But, I want to avoid the sinus infections. Our DAN! doctor also recommends claritin if I see that my son is having a very bad day with allergies. It really puts a strain on their immune system which is already taxed. make sure her zinc comsuption is adequate. Opti- zinc or Worldhealthmall.com zinc (i prefer this because it tastes and looks like water. also ester-c or emergenC- lite (I prefer the emergen-c lite ,the lite has no fructose) it's fizzy-fun and you can mix it with a little grape juice. she' ll feel like she is drinking a soda drink. Hope I didin't overwhelm you. My heart goes out to you and your daughter. Guest guest
Hi. I was wodering what molecular silver is? Ever since she was 3 weeks old and had her first cold, we have elevated the head of her mattress and she sleeps with 2 pillows. I make sure her bedding is nice and fresh washed 2x's a week. And her pillows are only a couple months old. I do have a pediatric nasal rinse kit from her surgery. Guest guest
Kali has been off Cow's milk products. I have tried to introduce foods to her that have goat yogurt in it but she just refuses to eat it. She is 5 yrs. ld with ASD. Kali goes from healthy one day, to a fever at night, to vomiting during the night to D the next day and then that all clears up and 1-2 days later she starts to get a congested cough and the runny yellow boogies. Sometimes with fluids, it doesn't get worse than that. Other times it lands her in the hospital for iv fluids and antibiotics. I saved the list grammy bauer sent to the group about which antibiotics are weaker and stronger and cause D or not. She has now been sick for 3 weeks. One thing is that being on the diet cut down on how many times she was getting sick overall. She hasn't had to take an antibiotic since her last surgery in July. I think she must have taken at least 30 in her lifetime so far. I will look into the address you sent me. Thank you very much everyone for all your help! Guest guest
Marilyn, I have had a couple of MD.'s tell me that she has allergies. Her psd. wants to put her on a crushable zyrtec tablet.? I don't want to jeopardize her diet, so what to do. Also, her ENT wants her to use nasonex but, I will only give it to her as an anti-inflammatory during a bad cold like this one. I haven't used it yet this time though. Can someone that knows about these 2 med.'s tell me what is up? Are they going to cause some other problem, mess with the diet, etc...? What is quercetin? Thanks. Jenn & Kali 95% SCD 4 months Re: Enzyme questions > > > > > > > What do you all do for a child with a sinus infection? Guest guest
Breney, I checked it out. I like it. I would like to try it for myself first. I always try to test on myself first but, if it works out, I'll try it for Kali at reduced dosages. Anyway, I was not aware of the molecular silver. Thanks for the info.
