My experience with Neurontin (1200 mg. - 1600 mg. taken at bed time) is

that the only effect it has on insomnia is to quiet my RLS so all other

things being equal I can fall and remain asleep. However, insomnia

continues to be a problem. Also, I myself have not experienced a link with

depression as I did with long term Xanax/Klonopin use. That may have been

coincidence...I don't want to say that Xanax/Klonopin CAUSED my depression,

but I did experience depression for which I was treated with various SSRI's

including Prosac, Paxil, Effexor, Serzone and Elavil after 3 years of

Xanax/Klonopin use. After discontinuing Xanax/Klonopin, and beginning

Neurontin, I have so far not had the need for anti-depressants.

Hope everyone has a happy, healthy and RESTFUL holidays. And to those of

us with young kids off from school, I hope everyone has a happy and healthy

holidays...RESTFUL would be nothing short of miraculous!

I hadn't heard that Neurontin could also help migraines and/or insomnia.

Could you elaborate on that?

Thanks,

Hal
