Guest guest
Hi everyone! I was just wondering if any of you have had trouble getting a doc to do a cerclage. I had bleeding at 6 & 11 wks and they said it was from the bicornate uterus. At my last visit my doc and I were talking he said that a cerclage was contraindicated because of the early bleeding. Meaning that I showed signs of miscarring anyway; although, I made it to 21.5 wks and the baby never showed signs of trouble. Triple screen came back good and everything. I wouldn't let them do pathology on . I just couldn't do it. The doc brings up the fact that I wouldn't do an amnio either and he is insisting on one the next time. I know I'm going to have a fight on my hands over that but I'll cross that bridge when I get there. He sent me to the specialist and all he came up with was to do a cerclage (he also saw me in the hospital). Then I get this stuff from him about the bleeding. It has been bothering me ever since and I will definitely be discussing it again with him. I've been reading all of your stories and it seems to me that docs did a lot more. The specialists that evaluated me said that I had no cervix left to stitch and my sack was ballooned to far out. All I could do was lay there and they couldn't believe that I made it another week. That's all water under the bridge now but I was just wondering if any of you had trouble getting a doc to agree to do it. I'm now worried that when I get pregnant again he won't do it if I'm bleeding early. All I really know is that someone is going to do it. I won't stop till I find someone who will. If they'd have done it when I asked about it after the 11 wk episode with maybe things would be different. I guess I just need to vent today. AF sure brings out the B&^$h in me!!!! lol!
