Guest guest
Hi, Ida I just wanted to share my experience with you since our cases are very similar. I had my entire cervix removed vaginally from a procedure called a LEAP it is basically a cone biopsy just called something else I suppose. I had a normal healthy preg. and child previous to the surgery. Since then I have lost three children. All three loses have been different and the last one looking like it was my cervix. I was scared to death to have the ab done, but when I found out I was preg I began to find direction as to what to do. I am now 17 1/2 weeks preg and had the ab placed 3 1/2 weeks ago. It really was not bad at all I almost feel normal now except for normal pregnancy stuff. I am on no bed rest just taking it easy. I will however say that most of the women here were put on bed rest so that depends on your case and the doctor I guess. I am willing to go down if he says so. It is worth it in the end. I am doing well so far. I have an appointment tomorrow so I will find out more. All of the women here are wonderful and will give you lots of information and support. If you want to talk you can call me anytime. Good luck, > Welcome to the list, Ida! > > Chele > Abbyloopers Moderator > > ********************************************************************* *************** > > > Hi, > > I am new to joining an on-line group, so be patient with me as I learn what I am doing. I found out about Abbyloopers from Taryn. My name is Ida and I live in Pittsburgh. I am very interested in learning more about the abdominal cerclage. I'd like to educate myself about it and also locate doctors in my area that peform the surgery. I had a cone biopsy done on Valentine's Day this year and most of my cervix was taken. In order to have a future pregnancy an abdominal cerclage is a possibility for a successful pregnancy. I have a 22 month old daughter that I am staying at home raising. I need all the details about the abdominal cerclage and pregnancy there after in order to make some decisions. I so desperately want to have another child. I just don't know how complicated it can be and I don't have a great deal of help here. I look forward to getting acquainted with other women that can help me learn more about the abdominal cerclage. > > Sincerely, > Ida
