Taryn,

I am sorry to hear that you are having these miserable contractions

too. Has anyone told you that you can have b/h contractions from 20w?

Up to 4 per hour is okay. They are uncomfortable - tightening/release

but not painful, they do not change the cervix. As you get further

along you can have even more (I can now have 7). Also, the nurses in

the hospital told me to stay on my left side. Laying on your back can

irritate the uterus and cause contractions. Right side is okay too

but left is better cause of a stronger blood vessel on that side.

Your cervix length is great. Mine was 3.5cm after my ab at 18.5w and

shortened to 2.9cm at 24w (that was my last u/s). My peri was not at

all concerned about the change and said it was very common and may

look different each time it is measured. I know it is very scary and

I wish I could take the worry away. You are doing great and each day

and week that passes you will have more peace of mind.

Well, most of my day is spent on this laptop, scanning the TV and

some on the phone. My job set me up with this computer so I could

take care of some job duties. Helps keep my mind occupied. I talk to

my Mom almost daily. She lives out of town, I wish she were closer. I

am home alone most days. I can get quick stuff from the kitchen and

have bathroom rights. I don't watch soap operas and stay away from

them since I will have to return to work one day, I don't want to get

hooked.

I know you are anxious about your appt tomorrow. Try not to worry,

you hang in there. I will be thinking of you.
