Guest guest Posted January 27, 2004 Report Share Posted January 27, 2004 Country Steak with Gravy Courtesy of Rublee Yield: 6 servings(serving size: 3 ounces steak and 1/3 cup gravy) 1-1/2 pounds boneless top round steak(1/2 inch thick) 12 oz. (GF) beef gravy 2 Tbsp. tomato paste 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. garlic powder 1/2 tsp. pepper 1/2 tsp. dried thyme Cooking spray 1. Trim fat from steak; cut steak into 6 equal pieces. Combine gravy and next 5 ingredients in a small bowl; stir well. Layer gravy mixture and steak in a 4-quart slow cooker coated with cooking spray, beginning and ending with gravy mixture. 2. Cover with lid; cook on high-heat setting 1 hour. Reduce to low- heat setting, and cook 6 to 7 hours or until steak is tender. Donna Shane - asthma - allergic to dairy, eggs, pickles, and olives.
