Ginger,

Looks like you and your hd are prepared for everything. I pray that

you make it with flying colours through this pg. I wish you a VERY

uneventful pg and a miracle baby.

It seems like you have a good plan. I´ll be praying for you and I hope that at the end of the journey you have your miracle baby in your arms.

Hi Ginger,

congratulations on your pregnancy. I have lost 5 babies, 2 whilst having the Shirodkar stitch in place. When we have had the results from both of these pregancies it has always shown that there has been infection on the surface of the placenta. In my last pregnancy I was swabbed for infection every 2 weeks and did take anti-biotics when they detected Steph Aureaus (not sure of the spelling).

I was given the all clear regards infection at 20 weeks but lost my daughter at 22 weeks. If we decide to try again and have the ab stitch done the docs have recommended that I take anti-biotics from 12 weeks onwards and rotate the type on a weekly basis. It may be worth discussing this approach with your docs.

We are due to the specialist for the ab stitch in the UK on the 6th of January so will make a decision about whether we can try again then.

You are ready. You have a great game plan.

It is all going to work out. I can’t wait till you are in your 30’s

and you are telling me how great of a normal pg you are having. Good luck.

God bless,

Taryn

my plan for

my pg...

Since Ianda asked and since some of you don't know my

story I'll tell

it now...

I'll just take it from my last pg with the

abdominal. I had twins

from ivf and had the cerclage at 10 weeks.

Everything looked great

until I started cramping and got up to go to the

restroom and my

water broke with baby A () at 20

weeks. I was put on strict

bedrest and stayed in the hospital a week.

Things were not looking

good for , but we were holding out hope for

. Well, my

cord prolapsed and I had to be delivered.

had passed by that

time and was stillborn but lived for 10

minutes in our arms.

There is no explanation why I prom. I did

have an infection in

's sac, but that was most likely from being

prom'd for a week

and then the cord prolapsing.

I spoke with a peri after that loss and he

suggested several things

we could try. One was not to get pg with

twins! Take antioxidants

in hope of strengthen my membranes and increase

protein intake. We

are going to monitor for infection every week

beginning at week 16.

He also mentioned we may try the 17-p progesterone

injections during

the 2nd trimester. I also think my mucous

plug does not harden and

may cause a weakness where the membranes can

bulge.

So, I go into this pg with my eyes wide open and

ready for anything.

If I make it to the 2nd trimester, this may be my

last chance at bio

children... We will try again if I have a

1st trimester loss, but if

I have a 2nd, we are probably done.
