Chele Abbyloopers Moderator ***************************************** Hi there, I found out about abbyloopers on a message board site... I think ezboards? I am 35y/o and 12wks pregnant with my first pregnancy. I have had two past extensive cervical conizations for cervical carcinoma in situ. I was told post-surgeries that I would need a cerclage- no big deal. But now that I am pregnant, and have seen a perinatologist, he has determined that a regular cerclage will not work. We are considering an abdominal cerclage, even though I don't have the history of previous 2nd trimester loss. I guess this is somewhat controversial without that history. I will consult with aother specialist at UCSF next week. I am very scared and stressed. I am engaged to be married, but my fiance currently lives far from me. He is hustling to move here ASAP- and has been supportive. But I still feel very alone. I live in the SF bay area and am a scientific technologist.
