Guest guest
Hi Pam. Do you have anything for his eczema (any prescription steroid creams or ointments) to help when he has a flair up? When my son gets bad our Dr. puts him on a 3 day treatment of oral steroids to shock his system back into shape. Never fails to work. What is your routine for caring for his eczema (bath, etc.) perhaps changing something might help the poor guy out. I feel bad for him!! We have been there and it just sucks. When Drew's allergies are bad we do a double does of Zyrtec (one in the am and one before bed). Then I throw some Benadryl in him in the middle of the day. It only helps a little though (this is the same kid who wasn't effected by the Tylenol with codeine when he had his tonsils out). LMK on the bath, etc. and maybe we can help you figure something out for him! ----- Original Message ----- I appreciate that. Jordan , my son, has never shown an allergy to wheat or anything like that. He IS allergic to eggs and tree nuts. He has terrible eczema, digs till he bleeds. Right now he is having a terrible case of it. It has almost covered over 50% of his body. His arms and legs are patchy with skin that will not tan. He just now dug so much into the bottom tip of his chin that is started to bleed. He literally dug the skin off. I feel helpless! I am almost in tears today seeing this. He is on Zyrtec and allergy shots for the indoor/outdoor allergies. I am sorry to ramble. I am just so tired of seeing him digging and scratching and I know he can not help it. No Benadryl or anti-itch medication seems to help. AAAHHHH! Thanks for listening Pam
