It was said kinda as a lack of explanation. With my first pg, I

started leaking fluid at 12 weeks. I went to the ob because they

thought it might be an infection, but it wasn't and she said it was

my mucous plug and my cervix was next to nothing. So, I had my

rescue cerclage.

With the twin pg I lost this year, I had lots of mucous all the

time. Plus, I think the cramping I have right before my water breaks

has to be my bags bulging and if the mucous plug was there, it would

help prevent that in conjuction with my cerclage. At least in my

thinking. If there isn't a hole there, it can't come through. Or,

mucous plug could be gone and allow infection in. Like I said, it

was just discussed with dr in passing and alot of it is my

brainstorming trying to understand.

I really think I just have weak membranes.

I had a lot of mucous throughout my pregnancy. Sometimes it was tinged with blood and other times it was yellowish in color. I had to constantly wear a pad.

Ginger I am 18 1/2 weeks with the ab placed at 14. I read your story and you mentioned about your mucos plug not hardening. I was curious about that since I am having some weird mucos all the time with this preg. At first I thought it was my water breaking but my doctor said it was mucos. I have it constantly though. I was wondering if maybe that was the same thing you had. If you don't mind telling me what made your doctor say that about your mucos plug and did he give you anything he would plan to do about it?Anyone else have that discharge I wouldn't mind hearing about it/Thanks,
