While my denial is different, I am going through the appeal process with my insurance company (UHC). What I can say is, make sure you have plenty of research to back things up. Also, from what I have found, many times, insurance companies will deny without any real valid reason. (at least this has been the case with me..) Good Luck, Hope you find what you need to get your appeal approved.

[sPAM] Any experience with an insurance denial due to out of network?

Well were our insurance (MVP) declined coverage of a doc band because Cranial Tech is out of network. They actually did approve the band itself but they referred us to Hanger instead. The Hanger near us only sees 12-15 kids per year and has been doing it for 2 years. I feel much more comfortable going with CT, even though it is a three hour drive each way. Hanger is only 30 min. but I just like the peace of mind of knowing they are the most experienced in this field. Anyway, my son Logan was casted on Wed. and I am going to appeal MVP's decision. Does anyone have any experience with this specific type of denial? I've looked through the files and couldn't find anything there. Any tips or suggestions would be so appreciated. Thanks!Amy in NY
