Guest guest
HI Brittany! My daughter is also allergic to milk and has showed reactions to butter when used in recipes, so when a recipe calls for butter, I substitute either soy margarine or Fleishmans Unsalted or Light Margarine. The Unsalted and Light Margarines are 'safe' for her to eat. Hope that helps! Missy I have another question for you gals. Talli is allergic to milk. I am going through some recipes of things to try for her and I am wondering about using butter. Have you found that there is enough protein in butter to cause a reaction from a milk allergy? She usually takes hours or days to react to milk, so I would hate to use it and then think that it was a different food that she was reacting to. Does heating it to a very high temperature (past boiling) change it enough to not cause a reaction? Brittany
