Guest guest
Hi Taryn, I hope you are feeling better today? Did your nurse say anything about meds for your contractions? Funny, I think I had some this weekend too!! Yesterday afternoon/eve were bad. It started with aching and just got worse. I took a shower and by the time I got out, my whole abdomen felt pulled tight. I dried off as fast as possible, then went to bed- I had put the bed back up on a tilt. I drank gatorade and water. The tightness/hardness stayed for abt an hour. But I ached all nite long! My uterus was sore to the touch, and baby was overactive- every kick and movement hurt. I hurt into my legs, hips, everywhere! Was awful. I did eat a lot of chocolate yesterday (not usual).. maybe could have triggered irritability. I feel fine this morning. Sometimes I wonder if there are uterine/baby growth spurts or something that make things painful. I go to my weekly dr. appt on Wed. I'll ask him. Oh, my tailbone hurts alot too. I'm glad you see the dr tomorrow. I have a feeling that the funnel will be gone. Your length is good, even if it stays where it is. My dr. says that it is not uncommon for the cervix to look longer right after surgery, and then to lose some length a few wks after surgery. He said the cervical tissue can " reconstitute " after healing. I don't know what he means by this, but he mentioned it. I think you will have a good appt. I can't wait to hear abt it. For what it's worth, I read something abt magnesium supplements being helpful with uterine irritability/contractions. You might want to ask dr. abt this. I remember my cardiologist used to tell me to take them for heart palpitations and it helped. Supposedly relaxes muscles.. also good for leg cramps. Take care and let me know how your appt goes. I'll be thinking abt you and saying a special prayer tomorrow- Cindy > Cindy, > > I have felt this but it does not last as long.
