Saturday was our anniversary (6 years) andJeff and I were planting gardens. We built our home last year andstill haven't gotten any flowers in. Well, one of the builders was uphere with the excavator, and we threw him a 20 and he brought us overthis enormous rock with a flat face on which we are going to put aplaque with our last name. We planted a perennial bed around it (wewere BUSY this weekend!) OK, now the story, with a little background: I'm always telling JeffI want an "upgrade" to a full karat diamond, since mine is 3/4. Well,we went out to a nice dinner that night and I asked him what he got mefor our anniversary. His response? "Oh, honey, I got you a BIG rock!"Ummmm...not the kind of rock I had in mind, honey! I have to admit -he had me in stitches - what a nut!Love, Heidi

Guest guest
Heidi, How did you get into homeschooling? How did you go about the whole thing? It's something I often think about with Shane since he misses so much school. He's doing better this year as far as absences, but still, as the grades get harder, and the amount he still misses, I worry that in the older grades he won't keep up. Thanks, Donna Mom to Lori - no allergies, - no allergies,Shane - allergic to wheat, gluten, soy, anything in the pickle family & lactose intolerant.Grandma to Mia - no allergies. Heidi's How's it going? What was for breakfast yesterday?Cereal (cocoa crispy rice for Jake, Rice and Shine Hot Cereal for Cal)and rice milk.> > How is the weather right now?Warm but rainy.> > What is something about your kid/kids that you are thankful for? That they are home with me! I love homeschooling!> > What was the most favorite part of your day yesterday? We made dinosaur skeletons out of dried pasta and glued them on posterboard. The kids did such an awesome job, and all of the pasta wasgluten free - too funny!Love,Heidi, mom to Cal, 6.5, and Jake, celiac, allergic to dairy, pollen
