Guest guest
What a weird day! I was out chopping down a tree (a chainsaw would have been better to fell this oak than the axe was, but the axe was FUN!!!) when I realized that I was starting to feel that " oops, I have not taken in the right amount of fuel " felling. Too many carbs and not enough protein was the theme of the day (thanks to pineapple in my morning shake and a bagel with the kids at noon), so I needed something very low carb and high protein for a boost. That being the case, I put a scoop of Nectar Carribean Cooler powder in four ounces of Crystal Light Lemonade, stirred it up, added some ice, and WOW! This is GREAT STUFF!!! 95 calories, no fat, no carbs, and 23 grams of protein in one fell swoop. WOOHOO!!! I just thought that I would share. :-) God bless, Joe <><

Thanks for the " recipe! " My husband just left for 3 months with the Alaska fishing fleet, right after I bought him a bunch of Crystal Light lemonade, and lemonade is definitely not my favorite unless it's over 90 degrees! But I HAVE Caribbean Cooler on hand (love it just like it is) so maybe I'll try it with some of that lemonade. Of course the Crystal Light powder could last in the cupboard through a couple of nuclear wars, but I'm frustrated whenever there's something sitting in my pantry for too long without a purpose! LOL! SO, is that oak turned into kindling yet? ~~ Lyn G
Guest guest
It is actually firewood for my neighbor now. He saw me hacking it up with the axe and offered to come over with his chainsaw. I then offered to sent the logs over to his house, as we don't have a fireplace. He was happy, we were happy, my kids are still grinning about how Dad finally took out that tree that was too close to the driveway, and I got a new favorite protein drink. God has shone His face upon this day, even with the rain!!!!!
