Guest guest
Hey ladies. I've been off this computer for awhile. So here is the update. I took preg test on Fri and it was neg. Of course this is only after 3 days of having the transfer done. I took one on Sat. and it was POSITIVE!!! Very faint line, but it was there! Sun. it was a darker line and today the line popped up before the standard line! So I'm guessing that I " m pregnant! I've been a bit nauseous and tired! Nothing new with that! I won't have my first blood test done until Thurs. So in my mind the thoughts of twins seem high with such early results, but I really have no clue! All is well with the family. Sam is healthy still! I can't tell you how nice it is to have a healthy child! LOL He is turning into a typical little boy though- he learned to climb EVERYTHING this weekend. Chairs, tables, rocks, you name it, he climbs it (or at least tries). He is also OBSESSED with toliets and throwing any toy he throw before we stop/catch him. Dh had to spend all day Sat. removing our toliet and dumping it and shaking a little body soap bottle out. It was small enough to get back to all the curves, but big enough to create problems! This week should be a little quiet! No major plans until Thurs. when I do the blood test and then later that night get to meet Brokovich (sp??). She will be speaking at an event we are going to that night! Should be fun. Then off to Grand Junction (across the state) for the long weekend for my Grandpa's 80th b-day! Supper tonight- Tacos??? Really I have no clue, but it is at least a good guess! Weather- cool and cloudy. High chance of rain! No movies or books! I can't remember the other one! Guest guest
-- I am glad that you are home and I hope you heal fast. Other than the bleeding (which I hope stops soon), it sounds like things are going good. Take care and rest well. Love, Patti update on me Hi all, For those of you who get this more than once, it means you're in more than one of my groups. Now on to the update. I had the pacemaker put in this morning. I was totally unsedated, which was freaky. Since i had an allergic reaction last time and they didn't know if it was the fentynol or the versed they just gave me morphine so i was alert throughout the whole thing. The lidocaine didn't work very well. I've read studies about how patients with EDS who are given lidocaine it can be less effective i must be one of those lucky ones. I could feel him stitching me up but didn't say anything and just breathed through the pain since the lidocaine wasn't working and he have given me probably 12 shots of it already. I'm sore but doing okay. They gave me a tylenol 3 afterwards and i started laughing at them, it didn't help and they moved on to morphine. And they sent me home with darvocet. I'm dong okay but starting to get concerned. They put a clear plastic covering like a bandage over it and then a pressure dressing, the pressure dressing came loose so i looked at it and the clear bandage is half way filled with blood. I plan on calling the nurse first thing in the morning. Other than that things are going good. I have my arm in a sling for the next few days because movement of the arm can cause the leads to come out of place.
Guest guest
, Reinforce the pressure dressing and leave it in place. Bleeding is normal for this but the pressure bandage minimizes it. I am glad that it's over for you, despite the rough ride!!! I tope the site is better this morning! Jill

Guest guest
Debbie: It is so great to hear you are receiving care from doctors who take your EDS seriously and seem to know what to do. I'm so pleased your ulcer is settling down. I know how thoroughly disappointed you were to have to miss the conference. Being able to do what you had to in order to look after yourself took a lot of strength. Regards, Bernie update on me Sensitivity: Personal Hi everyone~~ I had another EGD with much better results this time. The ulcer is no longer bleeding (my blood count is up too! Yea!) The hernia however is more pronounced and he thinks that it is because I have been throwing up so much. He thinks that too will go back to its normal shape (which is pretty nasty already) in time without throwing up every day

Guest guest
I am glad to hear that the ulcer is healing, this is good news. The hernia that is enlarged is a typical finding when there's been prolonged vomiting, so this ought to settle down - and perhaps the hernia is the source of the pain now instead of the ulcer. Hang in there, take your meds and keep the diet bland, you are doing the right things! Jill
