My Daughter only wore 1 band, but I wanted to give you my opinion and also tell you about my Daughter. wore her band from 7mo,1wk until 10 months old and in that 11 weeks she got 10mm of correction. (she started at 14mm and was down to 4mm at Graduation). In my personal opinion, I'd go for the 2nd band. Your Son is still young enough to get more great correction. That's just my 2 cents. The growth slows down after 6 months old, BUT... if he has some great growth spurts while in the 2nd band (like my Daughter did), you have the potential to get some more great improvement.
