Guest guest
Taryn, I am so sorry, but glad they caught the UTI. I remember what it was like. It seemed every time I turned around it was something else while I was pregnant. UTIs, bacterial infections, contractions, etc. I promise in the end it is so worth it all, even the bedrest. Hang in there. You will get through this!!!! Love, (Graduate)Brayden Austin 06-02-03}Angel{ Trustin Cody 07-17-02}Angel{ Cheyenne 6-12-00 L $ D- update taryn I started my morning with abdominal pain, back ache, and tightness. I had them for 20 sds. Four times and hour. I called the doc and we went to D & L. His office was to full or I would have went their. I had small irritability. They would last 20-30 sds. I had five or more an hour. I drank lots of fluids and then went for an u/s. CX was nice and closed 4 cm. That was great news. I stayed longer to make sure that the irritability would subside. We finally found out why I was having this problem. I have UTI. This was causing my abdominal pain and back ache. So, they wrot a prescription and home I went. I am still having them but they are not as strong. Will the journey ever be boring. I was afraid to call the doc but I am glad I did b/c if the UTI was worse it could have caused a more serious problem. If you are taking progesterone you may want to get checked for UTI. I was told that this medication can enhance discharge which can cause more UTI. They are sending my urine to the lab for a copo? It will take 48 hours till the results come back. I was told to call the office next Monday since they are closed for the holidays. I have learned that you should not feel stupid to call your doc. My hd put it to me in this way. Do you feel bad that Doug mows our yard. I said no, we are paying him…the hd replied, “ what makes the doc different, wee are paying him for his service”. I am home and resting as usual. I hope all is well God bless, Taryn
Guest guest
Taryn - I am glad to hear you are okay. I am thankful you went to the doctor before it would turn to something really bad. Can a simple UTI make things bad? What could happen? I am curious..... I think of you everyday. I will be filled with joy when you have this child and everything is perfect for you. I feel so good about this for you. YOU are doing GREAT!!!!! Heart yah-- Mandy > I started my morning with abdominal pain, back ache, and tightness. I > had them for 20 sds. Four times and hour. Guest guest
Taryn, Sorry for you to have another thing to worry about but I am so glad you had an answer to the pain- and medication. Do docs check regulalry for UTI's? I have never had one and probably would not know what to watch out for. The journey will never be boring but hopefully calm down a bit. You have been through so much. You are such a trooper! carrie > I started my morning with abdominal pain, back ache, and tightness. I > had them for 20 sds. Four times and hour. Guest guest
Taryn, I am so glad that you listened to your hd. UTI really have very nasty consequences during pg. I can imagine how you feel about calling the doc. I forever have the same problem about calling the doc. Always feel I am panicking or causing trouble. But your hd is right, love. and Trust Yourself!! You know your own body better then anyone. If you think something is wrong, better go and check. Your baby is so precious to you and your hd, nothing is too good for him/her or yourself. You pay the doc for doing his job. It is his task to give you advice. You can be proud of yourself Taryn. You went by your instinct. You called the doc. And you were very right to do so. I will learn from you. Shout at me if I have problems calling the doc in the future!! I hope everything will be fine. love, Ghislaine > I started my morning with abdominal pain, back ache, and tightness. I > had them for 20 sds. Four times and hour.
