Re: anybody got the flu shot?

I was wondering if anybody got the flu shot while they were pregnant. I mentioned it to my doctor today and he said if I could find it it wouldn't hurt. Well, I found one today and I had it.

Now I am just worried about it. I guess that comes with having so many things going wrong. I know the flu is so bad around the us now more so than in Louisiana so I was wondering if anyone here had it?

I'm not currently pregnant, but did get the flu shot. I had the flu once a long time ago when I was in my first trimester and SUFFERED! My OB was ever so helpful (NOT) and said that I could have the plain Robitussin, which was no help whatsoever. After that point, I decided that I would never, ever have the flu again and have gotten the shot since and haven't gotten the flu since. I personally think that it's a good idea to get the flu shot when pg, unless you're in the first trimester, as being that sick and not being able to take enough OTC drugs to deaden the suffering isn't my idea of fun!
