Guest guest
Hi Mandy, We live in Adelaide. My daughter is 5 next month. We have dry hot weather here, but not much humidity, thankfully. We have never had what I say was weather related problems. We always give the salt powder from October - March/April, which I suppose you also do. Welcome to the list. There is a few South Aussie's, and a few more from various states on here also. cf parent too > Date: Sun, 7 Jul 2002 21:00:23 +1000 > > Hi, My name is Mandy and i have a 10 year old son who has cf. He is a great kid, who has alot to offer. He suffer's from asthma as well,he has to take large dose's of prednisone, which induce diabete's. We are moving to the North coast in hope that the warmer weather and salt air may improve his health. Has anyone else experienced environmental problems eg; pollution weather too hot or cold?. We live in outer western Sydney Australia. Bye for now,Mandy. > > > --------------------------------- >

Guest guest
Mandy, Thank you for thinking of us. It has not been easy. It is going to be harder this month as we enter into the grey zone. I had a hard night last night. the pain in my hips are sometimes unbearable. They were hurting really bad. I wake up a lot if they hurt. I think I was up four times. It sucks. My hd was so thoughtful he rubbed one side of my hip till I fell back asleep. I am aloud to sit up just not to long. The weekends are the hardest for me. I will go lay outside for a while on the dock and I am going to paint. I take ceramics with my mother. My mother painted a reindeer, snowman, and mr. And mrs. Santa claus as stockings. They are made out of pottery and placed on top of the fire place. Since I have a family I will be giving the baby my reindeer and I am making a Mrs. Santa Claus for me. I love to paint things. I painted the baby’s room aquatic. It looks good. Took three months to do. I am hoping to start back painting when the baby is born. Again thank you for thinking of us. We all need prayers. I hope you are having a good weekend. The holidays are coming so fast. I can’t wait for them to pass. Then I will be 28 weeks. Take-care and chat with you soon. God bless, Taryn Taryn, a question... > > Hi Taryn, > > I was wondering if you experienced any aching/pain after your > cerclage (not right after, but in the weeks after)? Guest guest
Mandy, Sounds like every one had a great weekend. Thank you for the prayers. It is always nice to read you e-mails they are so sweet and supportive. Does your daughter have a cat? My hd did but we had to give it up b/c it was mean to all people especially children. It would hiss at you the whole time. This would scare the children when they would come over to visit me. Deer hunting… I have never been one to eat deer. I heard it taste like chicken…Do you keep deer in the freezer? I am more of a fishing person. I bet Drew has a beautiful stone. We did not get one. I miss that. We took his ashes and sprinkled them in the sea. I was very that your aunt brought the stone. It is so nice to see family come together. You do not see much of that these days. I hope you had a wonderful and fulfilling weekend. Have a Happy thanksgiving. Again thank you for the prayers. Guest guest
Mandy, Thank you for the warm thoughts and loving care. I know how you get when you plan in your head how something will go and then it goes the other way. I felt the same way you did about your doc not being available. I understand what you are feeling. You probably feel a little better but you down deep you have this little feeling of being let down.I thought that my cervix would be the same or longer. I was not expecting the news I got not the u/s ic that I saw. When I did I freaked out and got an uncontrollable hot flash and wanted to cry. I held in till I got home. have promised my hd that we are not going to ask each other how the next appt will go. This way we do not sit ourselves up for disappointment. will just walk in the office and get the info as it is and not fantasize how it could go. Have you heard anything from the doc office? How are you feeling? How is the hubby? Thank you again for the encouragement. I need it as we all do. Guest guest
Taryn - I have not heard fromthe docs office. I have a contact at the hospital who is going to try to find some info for me. I will let you know. Are you taking it easy? I wish I could take some of your worrying away. If you ever want to talk on the phone my number at home is . Husband is well. So is my 6 year old daughter. We went and got our X-mas tree tonight. That was fun! How is your husband? Mandy > > Mandy, > > > > Don't worry he will show up. Guest guest
Hi Taryn - When I saw my caller id I almost did not answer it because no friends or famiy live there. But then I remembered you lived there so I answered. When you asked for Cindy I thought okay it's not you. It wasn't until later that I thought " okay maybe it was Taryn asking for Cindy " I am glad you called. I just wish we would have figured it out so we could have talked. I have not posted in a while. I am lurking but trying not to be obsessed with all of it. I am now obsessed with adoption. But who know's that could change anytime. One of my best friends adopted a little girl 3 weeks ago. We are all in love with her daughter and I know I could love a child that was not my own. I have not totally ruled out the ab but I wonder that Dr. not coming to my town was a sign from GOD. I just feel in my heart (at the moment) that adoption is the way for me. I am going to catch up tonight on all the post. I am sorry to hear about your contractions. Aren't you 24 weeks? Call again. I usually don't get home from work until after 6. Have a good night. Mandy > Mandy, > > This is taryn. I believe I called you and asked for Cindy. i was doing > my callings and I had both of your numbers written down. when I hung up > I checked the numbers and I had your names switch. Guest guest
Hello Mandy, I have been meaning to write to you for a couple of days now. I read that you are thinking about adoption. Interestingly enough, I have been thinking of doing the same. Have been researching all that I could find on the adoption for the last few weeks. Its a nerve wreaking process, although may not be as bad as the fear of loosing another baby. Although I am still going to meet with 2 more docs that do the abd. Cerclage, I think I will do the adoption first and then, may be, will ttc again (provided that I get positive info from the doctors). did you ever find Dr. ? I hope that there was / is some way to locate him, in case you haven't. Let me know how you are doing. Love, Zhenia

Guest guest
Hi Taryn - I am having a good weekend. I have been babysitting my 4 year old nephew this weekend. Needless to say I am busy. I am doing well. I am off work all this week. So that is good. I am pretty much just lurking on this website. It is hard to keep up everyday right now. I have had you on my mind though and I am hoping you are doing well. I will read up on the post to make sure you are okay. Thanks for dropping a line. Mandy > Mandy, > I have been thinking of you. Guest guest
Mandy, Big HUGSS from me. I am so sorry that your family did not take your feelings or your little angel into account. It hurts so badly if people do that. It would have been nice if your angels footprints could go into the pictureframe with all his nephews and nieces. And even his pic. I am sure your little son was perfect and beautiful, even though he was born after 19 wks of pg. That is why our children are really angels. They are small and perfect and beautiful. love, Ghislaine
