We had a STARband but the procedure was the same – the specialist

wrote us a prescription for the band and told us where we could go to get the

band. It was then our responsibility to call and make an appointment for

a consultation and scan. Once the scan was taken we received our band 12

days later. We probably could have received it sooner but we were out of

town and couldn’t get in any sooner.

I'm sure it depends on the location, but we

were told to call Hanger

ourselves to make the appointment once the doctor gave us the

prescription for the helmet. We were able to get in the same week. It

took about a week to make the helmet and then another few days to get

an appointment for the first fitting once the helmet came in. So it

was a week an a half from the first appointment at Hanger until we

actually got the helmet.

I'd call Hanger to try to make the appointment rather than wait for

them to call you.
