New Protein: NECTAR review

I got to try two out of the three Nectar flavors yesterday, and these are a hit

with me!!

I tried the " Very Cherry Berry " first. I thought it would have an aftertaste

after smelling it for the first time. Shakes up almost as well as Sci-Fit but

did leave a few lumps. I mixed the sample 1.5 scoops with about 6 oz of water; I

could easily go to 8 oz as the flavor is pretty strong. The taste is incredible;

like cherry Sweettarts or Pixy Sticks. The amazing thing... no whey taste, no

" protein " taste, and ZERO aftertaste of any kind! Best of all, I got brave and

licked a lump out of the cup. OMG!!! This is just CANDY! I can easily see eating

this stuff with a SPOON, never mind bothering to MIX it up! LOL I really truly

want this to come in Pixy Sticks.

Last night, and I both tried the Apple Ecstasy. We both agreed it tasted

like juice; I think it tastes like Green Apple Laffy Taffy. A few lumps again,

but also yummy just slurped off the side of the cup. Very teeny-tiny aftertaste

and not objectionable. This is another winner as far as I'm concerned. I think

my daughter might even like this one... it's BRIGHT GREEN when you mix it up!

I don't even LIKE coconut/pineapple flavors, but now I want to try the

" Carribean Cooler " flavor. These other two Nectar wheys were top-notch. Highly

recommended (by me at least). And liked it too, and she does not normally

do protein drinks.

The girls say the Green Apple tastes like a Jolly Rancher, and boy is it GREEN!

You ate the lumps? With witnesses? And they were good? And now my staff will

be making up glasses of lumps to get to the " candy " . Sheesh.

I hate coconut, but the Caribbean is rather pleasing. Sorta comes in like

pineapple, goes away sorta reminding you of coconut, but not bonking you over

the head with it.

The lumps are awesome. liked 'em too. She hasn't liked any other

protein she's tried that I know about.

OTOH, the Orange Creamsicle sample (Super Whey Pro) went straight down

the sink. Even the smell of it was gagging me. Too bad too, because I

LOVE Creamsicles!!

The Sci-Fit banana seemed dreadful at first but tastes pretty good. In a

change for me, I would make it with LESS water than I usually like,

probably 3 or 4 oz per scoop instead of my usual 5 or 6 oz. My issue

with it was the color... a bit too grey. I know it's probably the

" natural " color of say, bananas mixed into milk, but a bit of

artificially bright yellow color would have made it friendlier and

psychologically more palatable. If I didn't LOOK at it, it was good. So

I'll probably add that to my Sci-Fit stable, for some variety, but it

doesn't topple Strawberry from #1.
