Hi Ladies,

I was just curious about your recovery times from c-sections. For

instance, how long before you felt able to go out shopping? How

long before you felt able to do brisk walking? Just curious since

it's gonna be a LONG bedrest before that! And I can't take longer

than the alloted 8wks after to be off work.

Thanks!

Cindy

If you are on SBR dont plan on brisk walks for a while. The ab cerclage recovery pain wise took longer than my c-section. But you will tire very easily if you are on SBR. If you are on modified Bed rest it should be shorter.

Since I was on SBR it took me a good month to feel like I could really walk around at a faster pace

Bedrest is hard on your body

Hi Cindy,

I felt like crap the first week. The second week I really took it easy. I had been on bedrest for 7 months. I started walking the end of week 2 and just slowly built on that. By 8 weeks after I was able to walk 1 to 1 1/2 miles per day. Don't worry. It is amazing how quickly you recover. I steam cleaned my carpets during week 5!!!
