Guest guest
> > > Welcome to Abbyloopers, > Chele What is you name? I did not see it on the post. ANyways, I am sorry for you losses. That must be very difficult. I have one loss at 18 weeks due to IC and failed vag. cerclage. I was lucky to find out about the abdominal cerclage after my loss instead of many losses later. My only chance at a living child is the abdominal. I will be trying to conceive (TTC) soon. Ask any questions that you would like. This place has been the best support group and source of information anywhere. I actually found a doctor to perform my ab. cerclage from this site. Good Luck! Guest guest
I am so sorry for your losses. Welcome to the group. I would recommend you seeking out perinatologists in your area that do the ab cerclage and get in for some consultations. As us any questions you may have. Guest guest
Hello, I'm sorry, I didn't realize that the brief little blurb I completed would be posted or I would have supplied more information. My name is CJ and I live in FL. The only way I'm staying sane is by trying to gather as much information about my condition as possible and trying to determine when my husband and I can try to conceive again. It hurts so much because I know that the chances of having twins again are very minimal. I thought it was such a blessing and had convinced myself that they would take the place of the two losses I had before them. If anyone can recommend a doctor that performs abdominal cerclages in the Florida area I would appreciate it. We are in Jax but I doubt if I would be lucky enough to find one here. I am so glad to have found a group of ladies that have gone through similar losses. I feel so much better knowing that I can grieve, vent, cry or even laugh and that I won't be looked at strangely. Everyone is so eager for me to " just get over it " , but they don't understand it's not something you " get over " . In addition to having an IC, I also have Antiphospholipid Syndrome so I was injecting two shots of Heparin into my belly a day. It wasn't pleasant but I'll do whatever it takes. Thanks again for welcoming me into this wonderful community. > > > > > > Welcome to Abbyloopers, > > Chele > What is you name? I did not see it on the post. ANyways, I am > sorry for you losses. Guest guest
CJ, I live in St. sburg, fl. I have a wonderful doc. Jodi, who also lives in jac, uses my doc. I recommended her to him. There are very few docs in fl that do the ad cerclage. I am currently in my 23 week w/ an ad. I lost my son at 25 weeks due to ic, and ptl. Please bare with my typing, I am writing w/ one hand on my back. I had a vaginal and rescue with my son. I spent time in the hospital snd I to had shots. This time has been different in a good way. I have been on MBR since 9/24. This is b/c I start funneling and ptl early on. Today I had an appt with a small funneling. My cervix measures 3.66 cm. Last time it was 4.5 cm. I am also on progesterone shots once a week. This helps prevent ptl. The doc is Dr. R Montenegro with the bayfront Fetal medice at Bayfront. The number is . there is another doc that does ad in his office. Dr. Preito. He did Jodi¡Çs. She is not on any restrictions. She can tell you her story. I wish I could give you more info. If you want to ask me questions do not hesitate to ask. God bless, Taryn Re: New Member! Guest guest
Hi CJ - You are never going to get over any of it. People that have not experienced this do not know how we feel. I do not live in Florida but in TN. Taryn lives in Florida, so you may want to ask her about a doctor. You may have already. Anyways ask all the questions you would like. You are exactly right. It is good to have each other to get us through this. That is what we are all here for. Mandy > > > > > > > > > Welcome to Abbyloopers, > > > Chele > > What is you name? I did not see it on the post. Guest guest
Hi Sam, With your acetabulum in good shape, you could be a candidate for a hemi-artroplasty which is the femur side of resurfacing. Being in the LA area I'm sure that you would be well served at the JRI http://www.jri-oh.com/ There is a fairly recent (in the last week) post from someone that had the hemi. You may want to locate the post and contact them for their experience. Good luck, Fred Dr. Gross, C2K 1/21/04 > Hello All, > > My name is Sam, I'm a 26 year old pediatric nurse in Los Angeles. Guest guest
I suppose a hemi resurfacing is a possibility. They only put an implant on the femerol side. If you later wear out the acetebular side they can go back in do that side. Only problem is that you are going to have metal on cartilage wear and as I understand it, the pain relief for a hemi is much less predictable than a full resurfacing. > Hello All, > > My name is Sam, I'm a 26 year old pediatric nurse in Los Angeles. Guest guest
BTW, there is a member, Tim , who posts here on occassion. He had a hemi resurfacing from Bealue late last year, so if you are considering that you can try getting in contact with him. > Hello All, > > My name is Sam, I'm a 26 year old pediatric nurse in Los Angeles.
