Guest guest
Hi Beckie! Hang in there! There are tons of things out there that are triggered by a food allergy or food sensitivity. Doctors are not perfect and therefore, tons of stuff are over looked. There is a book out there called, How to raise a Healthy Kid in spite of your doctor. Don't get me wrong, I totally rely on doc's for a lot of things, but they don't know my child. That is why I say, use your mother's instincts when it comes to stuff. I hear Chiropractic is great for kids with allergies too. I have yet to take my son, but I really need to. How did you know that your son's back was out of place? Could you tell or did they find out when you took him to the Chiropractic office? I always wonder if my headaches are due to a pinched nerve or something. I should just go and get and adjustment lol! I get bad headaches some times lol, maybe an adjustment will do the trick! lol. Anyway, let me know if I can be of any help and I will try! We are here for you!!! *Alyssa*Mom of,: (5) Anaphylactic to peanuts, cashews, brazil nuts, macadamia nuts, and pistachios. Allergic to all nuts. Sensitive to dairy and soy. Eczema.: (3) No allergies
Guest guest
Beckie Welcome to the group. I'm Trish- SAHM to three. We also homeschool here! My kids are 5, 4, & 2! Sam, the youngest, is my allergy kid! His allergies are listed in my sig. line. I'm sorry to hear of the problems your son has. I'm at a loss for advice here. I hope someone can give you some answers. I do know one thing- FIND someone who will listen to you! I've know MANY MANY moms who knew something was wrong with a child- and a Dr. didn't listen- and sure enough when they found someone to listen there was something that was wrong! Don't give up! HOpe you find this group helpful and supportive! These ladies are a wealth of knowledge! Just the support is worth it! Trish (CO)Kayla (5)- No allergies (4)- E/A (2)- anaphlyatic to egg, severely allergic milk, peanuts, all tree nuts, soy, other foodsE/A including dogs & cats. Asthma & eczema Thank you/suggestions I have taken my son to an allergist. He did have the tests.I thing it was onlyfor skin allergies, and things that set off his asthma.I did take him to a proctologist..but to no avail. It was like he wasn't even listening to me.It just seems like Reece never has a full bm.I know it seem weird to talk about, but I know it is from allergies to foods.Only a small amount at a time, unless I feed him about 6 prunes, then look out.He also may be subjegated again. All his back bones out of place again. That also causes it alot.I have taken him to a natural chiropractor since he was 18 mon.He was always out of place.Shoulders n back. There is a new Holzer Clinic in our area too,I think they havea gastrointologist, and a proctologist.Beckie
Guest guest
Alyssa I totally recommend a chiro. for headaches! I was having horrible headaches....and after seeing my chiro. several times I didn't have them anymore. I alwasy know I'm overdue for an adjustment when I start getting my headaches back! We've had Sam adjusted several times. Our chiro. talks about keeping your back and spine healthy- just like you would teeth- you go to the dentist to prevent problems- just like we should with our backs! Plus, keeping things in alignment keeps the rest of your body running healthy and working properly. Your back being out can/will affect all parts of your body! I totally believe it- although I seldom take my kids in for adjustments! Trish Re: Thank you/suggestions Hi Beckie! Hang in there! Guest guest
Alyssa, I was a little skeptical of the whole chiro. thing, but I wasn't getting better and I figured that it wouldn't hurt to try it. I'm telling you after my first visit my head was spinning when I left the office do to the quick release of pain! I had to sit in the car for a minute or two because I couldn't believe how much better I felt and so quickly. My sciatic nerve has bothered me since was born (a year and a half ago) when I sit too long and no problems in 3 weeks. I go in tomorrow to make sure everything is still where it should be. I'm lucky and our insurance has a rider on it so I just have to pay a co-pay for my visits. Plus my husband rides bikes with this guy so he didn't charge me for my last visit. I highly recommend going it! You will be SO glad you did. ----- Original Message ----- Alyssa I totally recommend a chiro. for headaches!
