I have nothing against coffee myself; it's just that it really contributes nothing to our health and well-being. Any " benefits " are only perceived, and not real. The real worry here is that if you need caffeine to give you " energy " you are probably missing something important in your daily nutrition and maybe it would be good to try and find out what instead of " medicating " with coffee. Guest guest
ya but ya know not every single thing that passes our lips has to be healthy! I did NOT have this surgery to spend the rest of my life feeling deprived! Yes I have had to make drastic life-style changes and to rethink my nutritional standards (like sugar and carbs can NOT be my main food groups anymore! LOL) However! I work night shift, and even when I am off work, I am not one that wakes up bright eyed and bushy tailed and dang! coffee helps me become human! LOL Diet coke/pepsi? a 20ounce bottle will last me 4 days, I am not giving it up! it has no calories and the concept of the carbonation " stretching " the pouch is ludicrous! yes it will stretch with gas, you belch, it goes back to normal. I am being very good for the most part with the post op diet, however I believe the main thing to learn here is everything in moderation eventually. Guest guest
ROFL I know what you mean! when they redid the food pyramid, I was sure that carbs and sugar would be given the biggest blocks and recognized for their great nutritional value!!!!!!!!!1 heheheh Re: Re: Digest Size & Drinking Coffee In a message dated 2/21/2003 9:51:21 AM Central Standard Time, jim.spyglass@... writes: > And the benefits of caffeine are enough to consider > coffee a useful supplement.
