It has 5 net carbs per slice and is delicious. It doesn't have to be frozen like all the other low carb breads that we've found and it stays nice & soft like a regular loaf of bread. The slices are normal size and are great either right out of the bag or toasted. I didn't see the " Reduced Carbohydrate " one but am fixing to go to the grocery and will compare labels if I can find that one. The Natures Own (to me) had much more of the yummy type of nuts and grains than Ms. Bairds but I shifted down some taste for the carbs... LOL... (bad huh) the Ms. Bairds is good enough, just not quite as tasty IMO. Worth the carbs to keep my #'s under 10 per meal (old rule of my own) when I want a slice. I agree though, no freezer necessary. I ALMOST have my family eating it too and it is fresh and tasty w/o the freezer thing going on... like I remember regular bread would have been best I can recall. A TIP on my " slice " of bread (to make 2 out of 1) I use a rolling pin like I roll out pie dough with and roll it long ways over my 1 slice of bread to make a (albeit flatter) 2 slices of bread so I can put cheese in the middle and have a grilled cheese sandwich and still stay under my 10 carb limit per meal. It's really not too bad, but I use it sparingly as I'm opting to keep carbs low. You must order 3 loaves at a time, pieces are very small but the loaf is sliced. But another good alternative if you're @ the store & the N.O. is nowhere to be found, is the " Wonder Light Wheat " (also says " Low Fat " ) bread. It has 7 net carbs per slice. It's pretty good too. I'd always get the N.O. first though if it's available.
