A pleasant hot drink is boiling water with cinnamon and a little vanilla and

saccharine

added for sweetness. When juiceis tolerated try adding a little orange juice.

This also

works using cloves instead of cinnamon.

Hi ,

chamomile an accepted herb at the early stage of this diet?

Sorry, but no chamomile is SCD illegal. Here is an excerpt saved

from the LongIsland list (a sister SCDlist):

" Chamomile itself is a natural relaxant. So even

though it has not flavourings or anything, by way of its makeup it

is not

legal. It really is used as a natural drug to relax muscles etc but

can

also be very harsh on the gut. I know it makes me run to the loo.

just the ones in the book are legal. "

My daughter really likes peppermint tea she calls it candy cane

tea - perhaps that is an option. It can be sweetened with

saccharine since not using honey yet, but you may not even need

that. I like it plain.
