There are carbs and then there are CARBS. Tomatoes have complex carbs. Much

different from simple carbs. If the carbs are low on glycemic index, and

better yet have a low glycemic load, they're much more acceptable.

anytime I crave a food - not junk food, but real food - if the cravings

seems consistently strong and lasts more than a week I question why - my

body must be needing something.......

I craved raisins for about year while I struggled to get my iron up.

What is the problem with hydroponic vegetables? (Assuming this applies to

other vegetables also.) Thanks and take care, Fay

The difference is that DW follows SCD guidelines. Other processed goods

may according to the law add in illegal extras without mentioning it on

the label. If you're enterprising enough to go to the manufacturer, maybe

they can give you more info.

There's a great tomato sauce recipe, I think in Lucy's Kitchen cookbook.

Take care, Fay

Sorry, I'm usually more careful about the snipping.

I haven't tried DW's tomato sauce but have a hunch that this is one thing

we can easily make for less, in bulk, and as tasty if not more ;-)

I'm glad you're a good cook, and have the time to do these procedures, it's best

recommended to cook on your own, but, I think this it's not fair to say this to

Digestive Wellness. They're here to help people that don't have the time to

cook the sauce with a ready made sauce. Their service is great, and the food

available on their site is fantastic. Many SCD'ers wouldn't be able to make it

through without them. I'm actually a little surprised with this comment.

I don't recall saying " What's the difference? " but feel I know my SCD a tad

better than

Digestive Wellness that used to offer illegal Pomegranate Juice as SCD

compliant.

We have had to keep an eye on them. I do think they have good intentions. They

do a

service but I do myself a better one!

I put the tomato sauce on to simmer while I do the housework. I am an early

riser and

yesterday made yogurt, tomato sauce, mayonnaise and muffins before 8:00 a.m.

About my message concerning making your own sauce, which may not have

been entirely fair: I didn't mean to say that mine is definitely better

than DW's but just wanted to encourage people to go where they may never

have gone before culinarily. Also, assuming homemade is cheaper, they can

then more easily use the money for other legal prepared products, if

available.

Take care, Fay
